Two months after the closing of registrations, fixed at the symbolic quota of 1,111 athletes, the sold-out is now near. Only 300 entries are available to participate in 5 Days of Italy from 1 to 5 July in Cadore. Don’t wait until the last minute: until 15 June you can buy your ticket at a discounted price!
It will be an edition projected towards the future, both on the sporting and organizational front. In fact, on the occasion of the scheduled competitions, the selection of the best 18 young orienteers of the Veneto Regional Committee FISO, one of the most representative and competitive in Italy, will take to the field.
“We strongly wanted the presence of the youngsters – declares Mauro Gazzerro, organizer of 5 Days of Italy and President of FISO Veneto – so that they can enjoy an international sporting experience in their own territory and compete against top athletes. They are opportunities for incredible growth on a personal level and for the whole movement. The young Venetians, in particular, is the driving force of this discipline!”
The roster of participants in the YLA Young Leader Academy promoted by the International Orienteering Federation has also been completed, which will involve 22 technicians, aged between 16 and 25 and coming from 8 European countries, particularly passionate and with a marked aptitude, with the goal of identifying and training the next generation of orienteering event organizers and promoters at an international level.
During the days, the YLA will support the organization of 5 Days of Italy in different roles and functional areas, before or after the respective races. Lessons and workshops will take place in the late afternoon, which will help improve personal orientation, organization, and coaching skills. Finally, after dinner, you will work on individual projects on how to develop and promote orienteering in your home country, with a final sharing of each other’s ideas.

Finally, the new bulletin with all the detailed information relating to the facilities for the participants, such as parking and transport, is almost ready. Precisely in this direction, the daily cost of the shuttle service has been set, equal to € 18 for a return trip, discounted to € 45 for those who purchase the overall three-day package.

Sarà un’edizione proiettata verso il futuro, sia sul fronte sportivo, sia organizzativo. In occasione delle competizioni in programma scenderà in campo, infatti, la selezione dei migliori 18 giovani orientisti del Comitato Regionale Veneto FISO, uno dei più rappresentativi e competitivi in Italia.

Completato anche il roster dei partecipanti alla YLA Young Leader Academy promossa dalla International Orienteering Federation, che vedrà impegnati 22 tecnici, di età compresa tra i 16 e i 25 anni e provenienti da 8 Paesi europei, particolarmente appassionati e con una spiccata attitudine, con l’obiettivo di individuare e di formare a livello internazionale gli organizzatori e i promotori di eventi di orienteering della prossima generazione.
Durante le giornate la YLA darà supporto all’organizzazione di 5 Days of Italy in diversi ruoli e aree funzionali, prima o dopo le rispettive gare. Nel tardo pomeriggio si svolgeranno lezioni e workshop, che aiuteranno a migliorare le capacità personali di orientamento, organizzazione e coaching. Infine, dopo cena, si lavorerà a progetti individuali su come sviluppare e promuovere l’orienteering nel proprio paese d’origine, con una condivisione finale delle reciproche idee.
Quasi pronto, infine, il nuovo bulletin con tutte le informazioni dettagliate relative alle facilities per i partecipanti, come parcheggi e trasporti. Proprio in questa direzione è stato fissato il costo giornaliero del servizio navetta, pari a € 18 per andata e ritorno, scontato a € 45 per chi acquista il pacchetto complessivo delle tre giornate.
