News and course data available

MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO – After surpassing 1000 participants with the name of Niclas Jonasson, adding its name to Emil Wingstedt, Fredrik Bakkman and many other big names of present and past orienteering is also Jenny Johansson, former World Champion in Relay 2004 and with many medals at WOC in 2001-2005; it seems like the Swedish orienteering Elite does not want to lose our event in the hearth of Dolomites.

The Italian National Team will also participate with their Junior Team.

The OC is still working hard, with a recent visit to all the venues that will be involved, to give every service we can to the 1500 participants we are ready to host for the first year of the event.

President of the Tourism Agency in Campiglio Adriano Alimonta, met the President of the OC Mauro Gazzerro, and Italian Orienteering Federation and Technical Responsible Janos Manarin. A secure collaboration between the orienteering OC and the staff working for Tre3 (Alpine Skiing World Cup) is confirmed and this will imporve local services as medical assistance, parkings and traffic, volunteers administration, transportation, finish and start areas, and many other services as kindergarten, merchandasing, food courts, ….

Finally, course data as lenghts and expected climbs has been definied (preliminarly) for all classes and is available here and in each stage’s dedicated page.
