No damage to the forests of Auronzo and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo after the hurricane that hit northern Italy

Despite the Veneto region has been particularly affected by the weather last month, we can say that we were really lucky!

The whole area of the 5 Days Italy 2019, from the Tre Cime di Lavaredo / Misurina, to Auronzo and the Comelico Superiore, was in fact safe from the terrible wind that destroyed entire forests in the northeast of Italy.
The worstly affected were the woods in the areas near the Marmolada, the Asiago plateau in the area of Melette and Campomulo, which hosted the World Championships in 2014, as well as the areas of Cortina and Dobbiaco, where emergency assistance promptly intervened to restore traffic and services.
Fortunately, only a few trees fell in Auronzo, in the southern part of the lake and along the Val Grande torrent, but the situation is under control and the damages did not affect the work done this summer on the maps. The mapmakers, despite the first snowfall, are fixing the last details of the courses.

In these days also all transfers with bus / shuttle from Auronzo to the main airports in northern Italy (Venice, Verona, Treviso, Bergamo and Milan) were defined.
The transfers can be booked at the time of registration or directly with the organization.
In the meantime, registrations reached 500 and continue to be available directly on www.5daysitaly.it before the second registration deadline.
